What you will do
- Gather, clean, and structure datasets so they are ready for analysis.
- Perform basic analytical work and turn results into concise summaries.
- Create straightforward charts, tables, and visual materials that make findings easy to understand.
- Help build simple data models and support more advanced analysts when needed.
- Keep clear records of methods and steps so the work can be reproduced.
- Contribute to reports and presentations with data-driven insights.
- Explain findings to people without technical backgrounds in a clear and practical way.
- Keep learning new tools and approaches while working to improve data quality and processes.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical thinking and a solid base in data analysis are expected.
- Basic understanding of statistics and quantitative techniques is needed.
- Some initial exposure to data modeling and structured datasets is preferred.
- Good written and spoken communication skills are required for sharing results with varied audiences.
- Experience with spreadsheets and introductory use of analytics tools or languages such as Python, R, or SQL is helpful.
- You should be comfortable working on your own in a remote setup, organizing your time well, and collaborating with teams from different disciplines.
- Interest in public-sector issues and using data to improve public services is an added advantage.
