Helic & Co is looking for an early-career Data Analyst who is detail-focused and naturally inquisitive. The position involves helping with data gathering, analysis, and reporting so the business can make better-informed decisions. It is well suited to someone at the start of their career who wants to build practical technical and analytical experience in a data-centric environment.
Key responsibilities
- Gather data from different sources, clean it, and check it for accuracy.
- Carry out straightforward analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and useful insights.
- Help build dashboards and reports in tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Prepare and update SQL queries to pull and work with data.
- Assist experienced analysts with on-demand analysis and reporting tasks.
- Maintain data quality and consistency across databases and reporting outputs.
- Record procedures, data definitions, and the methods used for analysis.
- Work with teams across the business to understand information requirements.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar discipline is required.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in data analysis or a related area is preferred; internship experience is also acceptable.
- You should have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and charts, is expected.
- Basic SQL knowledge is needed.
- Exposure to visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is important.
- Strong organization and careful attention to detail are necessary.
- Good communication skills are required so findings can be explained clearly.
Preferred skills
- Experience using Python or R.
- Understanding of data models and database fundamentals.
- Exposure to ETL workflows and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of basic statistical methods and data interpretation.
