Junior Data Analyst (Entry/Junior Level)

Role overview

This part-time remote position is suited for an early-career data analyst who will help gather, clean, verify, and organize operational and impact-related datasets. The work centers on information tied to milk production, member payments, participation, and service delivery across several districts.

What you will do

You will support the preparation of simple reports and dashboards, assist with basic data modeling and statistical analysis, and look for patterns that can help management and field teams make better decisions. The role also includes working with internal teams to understand data needs, keeping documentation current, and maintaining reliable records in spreadsheets or lightweight databases.

Data quality and reporting

A key part of the role is improving the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of data. You will help ensure findings are communicated in a clear, practical way for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills and qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a solid grounding in analytical thinking and data interpretation, along with basic knowledge of statistics and data modeling. Good communication skills are important for explaining findings and coordinating with different stakeholders. Comfort using Excel or Google Sheets is expected, and familiarity with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau will be considered helpful. Some exposure to data analysis, economics, agriculture, or related areas is preferred, and experience or coursework connected to rural development or dairy/agri value chains would be an added advantage. The candidate should also be able to work independently in a remote setting, manage time well, and pay close attention to detail.

Education preference

A bachelor’s degree, either completed or currently underway, in statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, agriculture, or a similar field is preferred.
