Role overview
Dynamis, Inc. is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst in Dallas, Texas to support Homeland Security Investigations’ Worksite Enforcement Unit. In this role, you will work alongside HSI special agents on high-priority enforcement activity focused on protecting the integrity of the U.S. workforce. The position centers on reviewing employment verification records, business documentation, and government data sources to help drive national and international worksite enforcement cases.
This is a fast-moving, detail-sensitive position with meaningful impact. The analysis you produce may be used in Notices of Inspection, Notices of Intent to Fine, and other court-authorized enforcement actions. The role also offers exposure to federal law enforcement investigations, close mentorship from experienced investigators, and room to develop into more advanced compliance and investigative work.
What you'll do
- Review employer I-9 forms, payroll documents, corporate records, and other employment-related materials to identify compliance issues and possible violations of federal immigration employment laws.
- Search and compare information across law enforcement and commercial databases to uncover inconsistencies, trends, and other details that support live investigations.
- Prepare accurate case summaries, analytical write-ups, and findings that can stand up to review and support enforcement decisions.
- Help coordinate liaison efforts across national and international investigative programs, initiatives, and partner organizations.
- Keep case files organized and handled in line with DHS/ICE privacy and data-handling requirements.
- Create briefing materials and analysis support for site visits, enforcement activity, and senior leadership meetings.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related discipline.
- One to two years of relevant experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar field.
- Strong analytical and research ability, with the capacity to review and synthesize large amounts of documentation and data.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for preparing formal reports and coordinating with federal law enforcement staff.
- Ability to complete high-volume, accurate data entry from paper records into electronic systems and run database searches across law enforcement and commercial tools.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an ICE suitability determination.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred background includes experience with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies, familiarity with I-9 and E-Verify requirements, prior work involving HSI, ICE, or other DHS components, handling sensitive law-enforcement data, and use of government databases or investigative case management platforms.
