Junior Accountant - Contracting

Overview

A company in Dubai is looking for a Junior Accountant to support accounting operations within a contracting-focused environment. The role is based in Dubai, UAE and is intended for candidates who can join right away.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in the UAE contracting or construction sector.
• Availability to start immediately is essential.
• Hands-on experience with Tally and ERP platforms is required.
• Sound understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and general ledger activities.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT rules and financial statement preparation.
• Comfortable using MS Excel and standard accounting workflows.
• Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting entries and bookkeeping tasks.
• Issue invoices, payment vouchers, and related financial documentation.
• Carry out bank reconciliation and keep ledger accounts updated.
• Support monthly closing activities and financial reporting.
• Track project expenditures and payments made to contractors.
• Follow company procedures and UAE accounting requirements.
