Role overview
This position is for an experienced IoT product leader who can manage enterprise IoT offerings and connectivity services from concept through retirement. The role focuses on turning technical IoT capabilities into profitable market-ready products while steering strategy, financial performance, service quality, and customer uptake.
In this role, you will serve as the business owner for the assigned IoT portfolio. You will be accountable for product direction, commercialization, revenue growth, profitability, customer experience, and the health of the service after launch.
The job calls for a balanced mix of IoT know-how, telecom connectivity knowledge, commercial thinking, and the ability to lead across teams.
Product lifecycle ownership
- Take charge of the full product journey, including ideation, business case creation, product development, launch planning, operations, and performance tracking.
- Build and manage product roadmaps that reflect market demand, customer needs, and business priorities.
- Carry out market studies, competitive reviews, and customer research to uncover new opportunities.
- Drive product improvements and keep services evolving over time.
IoT productization and commercial responsibility
- Shape IoT capabilities, connectivity services, platforms, devices, and ecosystem solutions into offerings that can be sold commercially.
- Design packaging, pricing, bundled offers, and commercial models.
- Prepare business cases and forecast revenue for both new and existing products.
- Own financial and commercial outcomes such as revenue expansion, margin improvement, adoption goals, and profitability.
- Track KPIs for products and take corrective action when performance falls short of targets.
Connectivity and telecom services
- Oversee IoT connectivity products and services across cellular IoT environments.
- Work with technical teams on connectivity management platforms, device onboarding, SIM lifecycle processes, eSIM solutions, API integrations, and provisioning.
- Lead product work involving NB-IoT, LTE-M, 4G, 5G, and enterprise IoT connectivity services.
- Keep product plans aligned with changing telecom technologies and market developments.
Go-to-market and sales support
- Lead launch plans for new products and feature enhancements.
- Partner with enterprise sales teams on value propositions, sales assets, customer-facing presentations, and commercial proposals.
- Support key customer discussions and business development efforts.
- Help accelerate adoption and increase market reach for IoT offerings.
Operations and service governance
- Oversee post-launch operations for enterprise IoT products and large-scale IoT programs.
- Monitor service performance, operational KPIs, customer experience measures, and SLA adherence.
- Lead service reviews, incident handling, escalation management, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure urgent service issues and customer escalations are resolved promptly.
Stakeholder and partner management
- Act as the main point of coordination among Product, Technology, Enterprise Sales, Operations, and external partners.
- Manage vendor relationships and work with technology partners to enable delivery and innovation.
- Drive cross-functional efforts that support successful execution and strong business results.
Qualifications and experience
A bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline is required. The role calls for at least 8 years of relevant experience in IoT product management, telecom product management, connectivity services, or enterprise technology solutions. Candidates should have handled the entire product lifecycle and have direct experience managing product P&L, revenue targets, pricing, and commercial outcomes. Prior work with telecom operators, connectivity providers, IoT platform providers, or enterprise IoT organizations is expected.
Technical background
The position requires hands-on familiarity with IoT connectivity management platforms, cellular IoT technologies such as NB-IoT, LTE-M, 4G, and 5G, eSIM and SIM lifecycle management, IoT device connectivity and provisioning, REST APIs, enterprise integrations, connected device ecosystems, and deployments such as smart metering, AMI, smart city, or other enterprise IoT programs. Experience with SLA management, operational governance, product analytics, and KPI tracking is also important.
