Role Overview
This organization is expanding and is focused on building a respectful, inclusive, and people-centered workplace. The HR team is central to helping employees succeed by providing support, guidance, and the tools they need. They are looking for a well-organized, detail-focused Human Resources Assistant to help keep daily HR operations running smoothly.
In this role, you will support a broad mix of human resources activities such as hiring, onboarding, employee support, personnel record management, compliance tracking, and internal communication. This position suits someone who enjoys interacting with people, can manage multiple priorities effectively, and understands the importance of confidentiality and accuracy in HR work.
Recruitment and Hiring Support
- Help manage hiring activities by publishing vacancies, reviewing applications, and arranging interview schedules.
- Keep candidates informed and coordinate communication during the selection process.
- Draft employment offers, contracts, and joining documents.
- Update recruitment files and maintain applicant tracking records.
Onboarding and HR Administration
- Organize new hire induction and onboarding sessions.
- Set up employee files and ensure required paperwork is completed and stored correctly.
- Respond to employee HR queries and routine requests.
- Keep employee databases, records, and filing systems accurate and up to date.
HR Operations and Compliance
- Make sure employee records stay accurate, current, and aligned with internal policies and legal obligations.
- Support the review and monitoring of HR procedures and compliance requirements.
- Assist in preparing HR reports, metrics, and supporting documents.
- Help administer employee handbooks, policies, and workplace procedures.
Employee Engagement and Support
- Assist with employee engagement activities, learning sessions, and company events.
- Support the administration of performance reviews and development initiatives.
- Coordinate HR-related announcements and internal communication.
- Build positive working relationships across teams and departments.
General Administrative Support
- Handle HR correspondence, calendars, and meeting arrangements.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other HR documents.
- Maintain confidential employee and personnel files securely.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR Manager and leadership team as needed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, an Associate’s degree, or a Bachelor’s degree. Strong organization, multitasking ability, clear communication, and solid attention to detail are important for success in this role. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required. You should also be able to handle sensitive information discreetly, work accurately, and maintain a professional, approachable, and team-oriented manner.
