Role Overview
VSC Fire & Security’s Richmond, Virginia team is hiring an HRIS Administrator to manage HR systems, support HR operations, and help maintain accurate employee data and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day HRIS administration, including setup, data quality, and issue resolution.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to guide HR decisions.
- Act as a key contact for HR data handling and employee actions, helping ensure accurate and timely submission of employee information.
- Check HR documents for completeness and route them for processing according to company procedures.
- Enter and maintain employee job information in the HRIS while meeting payroll deadlines and accuracy standards.
- Process personnel changes promptly and in line with internal policies and payroll schedules.
- Support the organization and upkeep of personnel files and handle requests efficiently.
- Provide responsive, customer-focused support to HR users and other stakeholders.
- Assist with HRIS upgrades, testing, and rollout of new modules and features.
- Train HR team members and system users on platform functionality and best practices.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to employee data.
- Run periodic audits to confirm accuracy and integrity of HRIS records.
- Look for ways to automate HR workflows and improve system efficiency.
- Control user access, permissions, and security settings within the HRIS platform.
- Help connect UKG with other business systems such as payroll and timekeeping.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related area, or an equivalent mix of training and experience.
- Prior experience in an HRIS Administrator role or a similar position, with hands-on knowledge of UKG products such as Kronos Workforce Central, UKG Pro, or comparable systems.
- Solid working knowledge of HR functions such as payroll, time and attendance, benefits administration, and compliance.
- Ability to work with data analytics tools, reporting platforms, and HR metrics.
- Nice to have: experience with SQL or another query language.
- Nice to have: SHRM, PHR, or a similar professional certification.
