What the job involves
You will be responsible for delivering customer shopping and acting as the customer-facing representative during home deliveries. The role combines driving, safe handling of goods, and occasional support in store.
Working pattern
Shift times can vary, with working hours spread across the day between 6am and 11pm.
Key responsibilities
- Load the vehicle safely, including following proper heavy lifting and manual handling practices.
- Drive in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
- Carry out daily van inspections and checks.
- Make sure groceries reach customers in excellent condition.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service during every drop-off.
- Support colleagues in store whenever needed.
- Work on your own initiative and manage time effectively.
Candidate profile
Ideal applicants are positive, approachable, and committed to giving customers a strong experience. You should also be reliable, able to meet deadlines, and demonstrate good awareness of road safety.
Licence and driving requirements
A full driving licence is required. It must have been held for at least 3 years, and the applicant should have no more than 6 penalty points.
