Job purpose
The Hearing Specialist will carry out detailed audiology evaluations, identify hearing-related conditions, and create individualized care plans for patients of every age group.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive hearing tests to measure auditory function and identify disorders affecting hearing.
- Carry out specialized diagnostic procedures, including otoacoustic emissions (OAE), auditory brainstem response (ABR), and tympanometry.
- Review and interpret assessment findings and work with physicians to decide on suitable treatment approaches.
- Suggest, fit, and configure hearing aids, assistive listening tools, and other technologies that improve hearing.
- Offer counseling and patient/family education on hearing health and practical communication strategies.
- Coordinate with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other clinical specialists to support integrated treatment.
- Keep up with new developments in audiology research, devices, and treatment methods.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and current patient documentation.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care when relevant.

- Complete mandatory education at least one month before it expires.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of hearing aid technology, including fitting and programming.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- 3 to 5 years of experience conducting audiological assessments and providing rehabilitation services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Audiology.
- Professional proficiency in English and Arabic.
- Valid practice license from the relevant regional health authority, such as SCFHS or DHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional information
This role is based in Saudi Arabia and is a full-time onsite position.
