The organization is looking to add a Groundskeeper Porter to its team in Corvallis, Oregon.
Role Summary
In this position, you will help keep the community clean, presentable, and safe. The job involves routine grounds care, upkeep of shared spaces, and light maintenance work that supports a welcoming experience for residents. Your efforts will contribute to the property’s value, appearance, and overall quality.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day work centers on maintaining both indoor and outdoor areas across the property. This includes trash removal, cleaning common areas, preparing vacant homes for move-in, assisting with turnover work, and handling minor repairs. You will also help maintain safety standards, protect company equipment, and keep residents and visitors comfortable through consistent attention to detail.
Additional Information
This role is based in Corvallis, OR (US-OR-Corvallis) and is a full-time onsite position. The listed pay range is USD 17.50 to 18.00 per hour. What You’ll Be Doing
- Keep the property clean and orderly by handling daily grounds care, trash collection, and upkeep of shared spaces such as hallways and courtyards.
- Prepare vacant units for incoming residents by cleaning appliances, windows, floors, and fixtures so they are ready for move-in.
- Support turnover work and coordinate with the Property Maintenance Manager during periods of high demand.
- Maintain community areas such as the office, clubhouse, laundry rooms, and model units so they remain inviting for residents and guests.
- Identify unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, or supply shortages and share them with the General Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Take care of minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing broken fixtures, and addressing small repair needs indoors and outdoors.
- Protect company assets, including buildings, tools, and equipment, through careful handling and proper security practices.
- Follow OSHA guidelines, attend safety training, and use required protective equipment to help maintain a safe workplace.
- Clean and maintain pool and spa areas when applicable, while following local certification and safety rules.
- Work in line with company policies for maintenance, safety, and emergency preparedness.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in residential properties, rental operations, or a similar business environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, along with a mindset for improvement and innovation.
- Ability to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Comfort using technology and adapting to online systems.
- Carbon Literacy Certification, or readiness to complete the required training.
