Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Junior Foreman to support daily site activity, improve productivity, and help ensure construction work is carried out safely and accurately.

In this role, you will work closely with the Foreman and site supervisors as part of a site-based team focused on efficient delivery and high standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Foreman with the daily supervision of site activities and coordination of labour crews.
• Reinforce safe working methods, including PPE use, correct tool handling, and compliance with site safety procedures.
• Help ensure hazardous materials are handled properly and that confined-space work follows the required controls.
• Use technical drawings to guide teams and support accurate execution of work on site.
• Help plan site preparation and allocate resources according to scheduled activities.
• Maintain clear communication with chargehands and workers so that tasks, priorities, and project expectations are understood.
• Track output and workforce performance, and look for ways to improve productivity and make better use of resources.
• Keep records of daily site progress and activities for reporting and planning purposes.
• Support quality checks and help ensure work matches design requirements and specifications.
• Assist in resolving technical and operational site issues with the Foreman and other relevant stakeholders.
• Use discipline-specific technical knowledge to contribute to strong project outcomes.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by management to support business needs.

Skills and Competencies

• Valid First Aider certification
• Practical understanding of construction site coordination
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
• Ability to plan, prioritise, and organise tasks effectively
• Confidence in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Knowledge of site safety and productivity best practices
• Comfortable working with varied teams in a fast-moving environment
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience and Qualification

A relevant qualification in the appropriate discipline or equivalent practical experience is required. Candidates should also have at least 5 years of experience.
