Financial Accountant

Role overview

A well-established indigenous business with international operations and strong export activity is hiring a recently qualified accountant to join its finance function as a Financial Accountant. This is a newly introduced position that will report directly to the Financial Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation and submission of weekly and monthly management accounts.
• Compile and process monthly general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
• Keep balance sheet reconciliations current, accurate, and fully supported.
• Handle a high volume of intercompany pricing activity and related transactions.
• Check and reconcile annual long-term customer agreements.
• Support strong stock control processes for goods held under management.
• Work closely with the wider finance team to improve the effectiveness of core processes.
• Assist with internal audits and year-end audit activities.

Requirements

• Recently qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Hands-on attitude and a willingness to learn the business thoroughly.
• Strong commercial awareness and sound business judgment.
