Role overview

An established hedge fund is seeking a Finance & Team Assistant to join its London-area office. This position combines junior finance work with executive support, making it well suited to someone who wants broad exposure in a fast-paced investment management setting.

What you will do

You will support day-to-day activity across finance, operations, and senior administrative functions. The role includes practical finance administration, coordination support for leadership, and general team assistance. It also offers the chance to grow into broader responsibilities over time, depending on your strengths and interests.

Finance and operations support

• Help with invoicing, expense processing, supplier payments, and account reconciliations.
• Carry out general finance administration tasks.
• Work closely with finance and operations colleagues to understand how the wider business operates.

Executive and team assistance

• Manage diaries and coordinate meetings for senior stakeholders.
• Handle broader administrative tasks in support of the team.
• Contribute to a collaborative, friendly working environment.

Candidate profile

The ideal person will be bright, highly organised, detail-focused, proactive, and dependable. The firm is flexible about previous background, but you must have some foundational accounting knowledge gained through either 1–2 years in a relevant role or an Accounting degree / AAT qualification.
