Role Overview
An established organisation in Qatar is looking for a seasoned and proactive Facility Manager to take charge of operations and maintenance for a high-end commercial property in Doha. The role is centered on delivering integrated facilities management services to a high standard, keeping the site compliant, safe, and oriented around customer needs.
What You Will Do
- Direct the daily facilities operations of a major commercial property.
- Oversee both hard and soft services, making sure maintenance work is completed efficiently and in line with contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Supervise MEP, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, BMS, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Guide, coach, and coordinate in-house teams, contractors, and service partners to maintain strong service quality.
- Track performance metrics, budgets, asset life cycles, and maintenance planning.
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Ensure full adherence to health, safety, environmental, and legal requirements.
- Lead improvement initiatives that strengthen efficiency, customer experience, and asset reliability.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a similar field.
- At least 10 years of experience in facilities management, including 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Mandatory hands-on experience managing facilities in large shopping malls or premium retail developments.
- Strong exposure to commercial retail settings and an excellent grasp of mall operations and customer-centric FM practices.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and outsourced service providers.
- Solid understanding of MEP systems, property maintenance, asset management, CAFM tools, and statutory compliance.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Professional credentials such as IFMA, IWFM/BIFM, FMP, CFM, PMP, NEBOSH, or IOSH are a plus.
