Core duties and role variants

Candidates may be placed into one of several ramp-related responsibilities depending on their background and suitability. These can include pushback operations, leading hand responsibilities, airside driving, and operation of ground support equipment.

• Pushback driving for aircraft movement support
• Leading hand work, including sign-off of Load Instruction Reports (LIRs)
• Airside driving, with the option to obtain an airside driver’s licence through airport authorities
• Operating ground service equipment such as aircraft stairs, mobile conveyors, belt loaders, scissor lifts, and LDLs
