Objective
This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-impact internal and external events that support the organization’s objectives and values. The position focuses on smooth execution, effective use of resources, memorable attendee experiences, and ongoing improvement in event approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and keep up-to-date a central events calendar covering all planned activities across departments, helping avoid clashes and improving participation.
- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of internal and external events, including corporate gatherings, team-building activities, and employee engagement programs, ensuring they reflect the organization’s goals, standards, and brand identity.
- Oversee event budgets and ensure resources are used efficiently without compromising quality.
- Track event spending and maintain compliance with financial controls and guidelines.
- Work closely with the internal communications team to shape event messaging and promotional plans that fit the broader communication strategy and support attendance.
- Stay informed on current event trends, tools, and industry practices, and introduce fresh formats and ideas that strengthen employee engagement and experience.
- Manage external vendor partnerships, ensuring service quality and value for money.
- Handle vendor negotiations, monitor performance, and confirm all event-related requirements are delivered as agreed.
- Review each event after completion to assess results against targets and objectives.
- Share insights and recommendations to improve future event planning and execution.
- Support the line manager and complete any additional related duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
The preferred background for this role includes 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar position or field. A bachelor’s degree or higher in Communication, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is preferred. A specialized certification in a relevant area is also considered an advantage.
