Role overview
This is a Band 2 Environmental Cleaner position within a specialist hospital setting in Birmingham. The role focuses on maintaining very high cleaning standards across all parts of the hospital in line with national cleaning requirements.
Main duties
- Carry out cleaning work throughout the hospital wherever needed.
- Complete both high-level and low-level cleaning tasks.
- Restock supplies as required.
- Operate machinery to clean floors.
- Clean sanitary and washroom areas.
- Help deliver a complete patient environment cleaning service.
- Support an improved patient experience through clean and compliant environments.
- Work independently when needed, while following guidance from Housekeeper Coordinators.
Standards and service expectations
The postholder will help maintain National Cleaning Standards and contribute to stronger results in Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment. The service is expected to be efficient, cost-effective, cohesive, and fully compliant.
Working pattern
This post requires off-site local working as well as unsociable hours and weekend shifts.
