Company Overview
Atlas & Ember Holdings LLC is an operator-led holding company built around decision support, execution workflows, and visibility into performance. It develops systems that use clear guardrails, disciplined reconciliation, and transparent reasoning so teams can act faster with fewer exceptions. The company emphasizes outputs that can be explained, delivery that stays on track, and operational improvements that are practical in real-world settings. Team members work closely with operators and stakeholders to convert complex needs into solutions that can actually be executed. Clarity, rigor, and durable performance gains are central to the way the organization works.
Role Overview
The Director Project Operations is a remote contract position based in the United States. This role owns cross-functional initiatives from kickoff through completion, making sure each effort supports business goals and operational standards. The director sets the plan, defines scope and timelines, coordinates resources, and tracks budgets to keep work moving within agreed limits. The role requires daily collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, along with clear decision support, thorough documentation, and consistent communication across all workstreams.
Core Responsibilities
This position focuses on building and running repeatable execution systems, monitoring performance, and improving how projects are delivered over time. It includes defining and tracking operational metrics, identifying risks or bottlenecks early, and resolving issues before they affect delivery. The role also involves creating project dashboards, preparing leadership updates, and refining operating procedures using data and feedback.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings strong operations leadership, advanced analytical thinking, and proven experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Budget oversight, forecasting, and financial tracking across several initiatives are important parts of the role. A service-oriented mindset is needed for maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and handling issues responsively. The position also calls for excellent written and verbal communication, strong organization, and the ability to work independently in a distributed environment.
Education and Background
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Management, or a related discipline is preferred. An advanced degree or professional certifications such as PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma would be an added advantage. Experience in operations-intensive, execution-focused settings such as consulting, operations, or technology-enabled services is especially useful.
