Role Overview

As Director, Digital Engineering, you will own the direction and delivery of enterprise digital engineering and platform initiatives. The role requires a leader who can shape strategy, guide large-scale platform build-out, and ensure engineering delivery remains aligned with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the direction for digital engineering and platform development in line with organisational goals.
• Lead the full lifecycle delivery of large-scale platforms with a focus on scalability, resilience, and high performance.
• Oversee architecture decisions, system integrations, and engineering execution across multiple environments.
• Promote modern delivery practices such as Agile, DevOps, and cloud-oriented architecture.
• Maintain strong standards around governance, security, and regulatory compliance for data and systems.
• Track platform health and improve outcomes through performance analysis and continuous optimisation.
• Own budgeting, team capacity, and overall delivery effectiveness for the function.
• Work closely with senior leaders and external partners in a complex multi-stakeholder ecosystem.
• Build, coach, and manage high-performing engineering teams with clear accountability.
• Champion transformation programmes and support adoption of emerging technologies.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant is a UAE National with a Family Book and has more than 10 years of experience in digital engineering, platform development, or enterprise technology settings. You should have a strong background in architecture, integration, and delivery of scalable systems, along with proven people leadership experience.

You will also need confidence working across complex, multi-entity environments and familiarity with cloud, microservices, and DevOps-based engineering ecosystems.

Eligibility

Only UAE Nationals holding a Family Book are eligible to be considered.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is required.
