Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position is based in Accra. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for loading, moving, and unloading food and beverage items safely for delivery to customers and company locations. The job requires checking schedules, inspecting the vehicle before use, securing cargo properly, and completing routes while following road and safety rules. The role also includes confirming delivery paperwork, collecting signatures where needed, handling simple cash or receipt-related transactions, and escalating delays, accidents, or vehicle issues. In addition, the driver will communicate professionally with customers, assist with basic warehouse support such as inventory help or equipment handling, and work with supervisors and colleagues to keep deliveries accurate and timely.

Key Duties

• Load, transport, and unload products in a safe and orderly way.
• Review delivery assignments and follow the planned schedule and route.
• Check the vehicle before trips and make sure loads are secured correctly.
• Comply with traffic laws, safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Confirm delivery documents, obtain signatures, and support basic payment or receipt processes when required.
• Report delivery delays, incidents, and any maintenance concerns without delay.
• Deal with customers courteously and represent the company in a professional manner.
• Support warehouse-related tasks such as inventory assistance or operating basic equipment.
• Coordinate with team members and supervisors to maintain smooth delivery operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience, or confidence using Google Maps and local routes.
• A valid driving licence with a clean or acceptable driving record.
• Previous experience in a delivery driver role or a similar driving position.
• Strong customer service ability, including professional communication and a helpful approach.
• Experience or familiarity with food and beverage handling, including cleanliness and product care during transit.
• Basic awareness of sales or upselling is an advantage for representing the company during deliveries.
• Willingness to learn, attend training, and follow policies related to health, safety, and quality.
• Good time management, route planning, and navigation skills.
• Ability to lift and carry products, remain on your feet for long periods, and work in different weather conditions.
