Role overview
Al-Qadsiah Club is building a long-term sporting legacy that extends beyond match results, with a focus on innovation, ambition, and impact across Saudi sport. In this role, you will be central to how the Women’s First Team collects, manages, connects, and interprets performance and medical information. Your work will help improve player performance, support injury prevention, and strengthen decision-making across the football department by turning complex data into clear, useful insights.
What you will do
- Take ownership of the collection, validation, and day-to-day management of first-team performance and medical datasets.
- Develop and maintain the club’s Athlete Management System so it can bring together multiple data sources in one place.
- Handle information from GPS, wellness checks, force plate testing, injury logs, strength testing, training load, and match performance records.
- Maintain strong data governance practices so records remain consistent, secure, accurate, and accessible across departments.
- Improve the AMS infrastructure and connect different systems, technologies, and databases into one working performance platform.
- Automate reporting and data workflows to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
- Create dashboards and reporting solutions in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and AMS reporting interfaces.
- Build clear visual outputs for coaches and support staff that make performance data easy to understand and act upon.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and match-cycle reports on workload, readiness, neuromuscular status, injury risk, and physical performance.
- Convert complex datasets into practical recommendations that support coaching and planning decisions.
- Work with performance analysts to connect physical outputs with technical and tactical information from systems such as Hudl and Impect.
- Develop datasets that relate physical metrics to tactical phases, match context, and position-specific demands.
- Analyse high-intensity actions and football-specific physical demands within performance frameworks.
- Support opposition analysis and match review by placing physical data into a tactical context.
- Stay up to date with new research, emerging methods, and innovations in sports science and football analytics.
- Contribute to applied research projects and help bring new technologies and analytical approaches into the club.
- Work closely with medical, rehab, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and technical analysis teams.
- Support structured communication and information sharing across departments.
- Help align physical periodisation with football methodology and tactical goals.
- Contribute to a high-performance environment focused on player development, availability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in Sport Science, Data Science, Performance Analysis, Sport & Exercise Physiology, or a closely related field is required.
- A PhD in one of the above areas is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in elite football environments is required.
- Previous responsibility for performance science, monitoring, or data-led functions is required.
- Strong understanding of athlete tracking systems and performance monitoring technologies is needed.
- Hands-on experience developing and managing Athlete Management Systems is required.
- Ability to code, automate processes, and apply data science methods is essential.
- Advanced skills in analysis, interpretation, and visual presentation of data are required.
- Experience building dashboards and decision-support tools is important.
- Solid understanding of football tactics, structure, and physical demands is required.
- You should be able to explain technical findings clearly to coaches and other non-technical colleagues.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and project management ability is required.
- A collaborative approach and experience working in multidisciplinary teams are essential.
- Prior experience in women’s football is desirable.
- Experience leading applied research projects in elite sport is desirable.
- Knowledge of AI use cases in sports performance is desirable.
- Experience combining physical, technical, and tactical datasets is desirable.
- Familiarity with Hudl, Impect, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is desirable.
- A strong research profile with published or applied projects is desirable.
