About the Role
This opportunity is for highly capable data scientists who will support machine learning work for leading AI research teams. The company connects top creative and technical talent with AI labs and is backed by well-known investors based in San Francisco.
Position Details
The role is a contract engagement, offered remotely, with a weekly commitment of 20 to 40 hours. Compensation is paid at an hourly rate of USD 60 to USD 100.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan experiments and assemble datasets for machine learning use cases.
- Prepare, clean, and examine large-scale data to support predictive modeling.
- Assess and refine AI models using tools such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Partner with engineering teams to bring solutions into production.
- Draft, review, and check prompt-style questions used for AI training.
- Operate independently in an asynchronous setup and deliver work on schedule while improving model quality.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of professional experience in data science or applied analytics.
- Advanced working knowledge of Python and Jupyter notebooks.
- Hands-on experience with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, SymPy, scikit-learn, Torch, and TensorFlow.
- A bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field from the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, the UK, or Australia.
- Strong capability across exploratory data analysis, statistical inference, machine learning pipelines, model assessment, feature engineering, preprocessing, data wrangling, A/B testing, experimentation, or causal inference.
- Excellent spoken and written communication abilities.
- Strong focus on accuracy and detail.
