Data Science Consultant - AI Trainer

About the Role

This opportunity is for quantitative specialists who want to help improve AI systems. You will collaborate with advanced AI models on tasks such as reviewing AI-produced quantitative analyses, solving technical challenges, and sharing feedback that influences how models handle data, modeling, and scientific reasoning.

The work is well suited to people from data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and similar analytical disciplines. If you are used to thinking carefully about data and models, your background is likely a fit. Some contributors use this as a side engagement alongside a full-time job, while others make it their main focus.

How the Process Works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. Candidates who pass receive confirmation by email, and paid tasks are then made available on the platform.

Contract Benefits

• Compensation begins at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, with some projects offering additional bonus pay.

Core Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated quantitative outputs for correctness and practical relevance, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific reasoning, and data-based conclusions.
• Create and solve quantitative tasks used to train and benchmark AI systems, covering forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
• Produce concise technical write-ups and maintain well-structured analytical code.
• Share feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI models for quantitative reasoning.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative role or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
• Basic coding ability and the confidence to write and review analytical code from start to finish.
• Hands-on familiarity with statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and experiment design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
• Strong English communication skills at native or bilingual level, along with clear written expression.
• A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering; a master’s degree or PhD is an advantage.
• Additional proof of expertise is beneficial, such as a strong Kaggle ranking, AWS or GCP machine learning certification, or similar credentials.

This is an independent contractor role. Payments are processed through PayPal, and PayPal will manage any currency conversion from USD. You will not be asked to pay any fee or make any payment to participate. Only candidates located in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand will be considered.
