About the Role
This is not a conventional customer success position focused only on support. As the Customer Success Manager for Germany, you will manage a portfolio of important clients, help them realise measurable value from PFM’s solutions, drive renewals and expansion, represent the company in the German market, and pursue new business opportunities.
The role blends strategic account management with a strong commercial mindset.
Key Responsibilities
You will be accountable for customer outcomes, retention and expansion, and new business generation.
- Build durable relationships with operational and senior-level stakeholders.
- Create clear success plans with measurable objectives.
- Run structured business reviews with customers.
- Turn data into practical recommendations that support commercial decisions.
- Own renewals and work to minimise customer churn.
- Spot opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Lead commercial conversations focused on value creation.
- Help grow revenue from existing accounts.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Identify prospective customers and engage them proactively.
- Follow up on leads and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
- Comfortably start conversations and open doors to new relationships.
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings a mix of customer-facing experience, commercial judgement, and confidence working across both relationship management and growth opportunities.
- 3 to 7+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Business Development, or consulting.
- Background working with B2B recurring revenue models.
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence in negotiations.
- Ability to translate data into strategic business conversations.
- Proactive working style with strong ownership.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Experience in SaaS, analytics, retail, mobility, or smart infrastructure is helpful but not mandatory.
