About the Role
Moama Bowling Club is seeking a permanent full-time Cook for its main kitchen in Moama, New South Wales. The club is a well-known multi-purpose venue offering dining, conferences, entertainment, and sporting experiences, and it operates as a recognised leader in the Murray River region.
Key Duties
- Handle day-to-day food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Work efficiently in a busy, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Keep performance steady even when service demands are high.
- Maintain excellent kitchen cleanliness and follow food safety expectations at a high standard.
- Rotate through different kitchen areas, including pans and fryers.
- Ensure dishes are prepared with consistent quality and correct portion sizes.
- Complete general cleaning tasks within the kitchen as needed.
Essential Experience and Skills
- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is preferred, though it is not mandatory.
- Prior experience in commercial cookery is required.
- Background in a large, high-volume commercial kitchen is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in food preparation and plating is expected.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary offered is between $70,000 and $80,000 per year, excluding public holidays, plus 12% superannuation.
