Role overview

A packaging manufacturer is seeking a practical, results-oriented leader with a solid Lean background to step into a Continuous Improvement Manager role. This position offers the chance to lead improvement efforts spanning Europe and North America.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000. This range reflects the full scope of the role as currently designed and is shared to meet pay transparency obligations. Final offers will depend on applicable experience, demonstrated capability, internal pay alignment, and how closely a candidate matches the stated requirements. The highest end of the range is generally intended for applicants who satisfy all listed qualifications and the official role profile.

What you will do

In this role, you will help reshape how the organization runs by improving administrative workflows across Manufacturing, Planning, Supply Chain, and Customer Service. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and IT partners to remove inefficiencies, reduce waste, and strengthen a continuous improvement culture across the business.

Your contribution will directly influence global operations. By applying Lean thinking to everyday administrative work, you will support the creation of more effective, streamlined processes and help reinforce a company-wide focus on ongoing improvement.

  • Improve operational results across Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Client Relations by identifying shop-floor bottlenecks and introducing Lean methods.
  • Work with plant leaders and department managers to cut lead times, lower material waste, and bring consistency to operations across North American sites.
  • Run focused Kaizen activities and value stream design sessions to increase capacity and shorten cycle times.
  • Act as a link between manufacturing teams and technical specialists to support the rollout of digital solutions such as MES or automation platforms that make daily work easier.
  • Make sure site-level improvement efforts support wider business growth goals and strategic priorities.
  • Create, update, and manage standard work documentation and quality control standards across international locations.
  • Measure and review key metrics such as OEE and throughput, then convert performance trends into practical improvement actions.
  • Help teams adapt to change by guiding them through cultural shifts and reinforcing new working habits.
  • Keep up with new developments in the industry, including automation tools and modern quality management systems.

Requirements

You should bring at least 5 years of hands-on experience in continuous improvement or process optimization within a manufacturing setting. A strong Lean background is essential, along with a record of using Lean methods to produce measurable results in administrative workflows.

You must understand Planning, Customer Service, Logistics/Inventory, and ERP systems. Experience leading Lean workshops such as Kaizen and value stream mapping, and applying structured CI frameworks in international environments, is required. Lean certification at Green Belt level or above is mandatory.

You will need to collaborate well across all levels of the organization, influence stakeholders effectively, and work successfully with cross-cultural, international teams. The role also requires the ability to travel internationally.
