Role overview
This is a senior consulting leadership opportunity in Australia, offered through a hiring partner that handles applications and the next stages of the process. The position suits an experienced consulting leader who can guide complex client work, influence executive stakeholders, and help shape transformation initiatives across strategy, technology, and digital areas.
In this role, you will work closely with clients at senior levels to clarify business problems, test assumptions, and turn uncertain situations into practical, well-structured outcomes. Alongside delivery leadership, you will contribute to presales, improve market visibility, and help strengthen the consulting practice through coaching, collaboration, and thought leadership.
Key accountabilities
- Steer and shape sophisticated consulting assignments spanning strategy, transformation, and technology, with an emphasis on measurable client impact.
- Work with senior client leaders to define the real problem, challenge assumptions, and establish a clear direction before solutions are locked in.
- Support business development and presales activity through value articulation, proposal creation, solution design, and client-facing presentations.
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, and technical colleagues to create compelling client offers and winning pursuit strategies.
- Apply consulting frameworks and methods to bring order and clarity to ambiguous business challenges.
- Help grow the consulting practice by developing opportunities, building relationships, and engaging with the market.
- Coach and develop consulting talent through mentoring, role modelling, and practical on-the-job support.
- Contribute to reusable consulting offerings and methodologies that align with market demand, including digital and AI-enabled transformation.
- Promote a culture of curiosity, teamwork, and ongoing improvement across the practice.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in consulting or advisory work, preferably in the Australian market.
- Deep experience leading large and complex strategy or transformation programs.
- Strong capability in influencing senior executives and contributing confidently in board-level or leadership discussions.
- Hands-on experience in presales, opportunity origination, and solution shaping, not just delivering predefined scopes.
- Solid commercial judgement with the ability to identify, shape, and convert growth opportunities.
- Ability to impose structure on unclear business problems and convert them into actionable plans.
- Exposure to strategy, technology, and transformation engagements.
- Proven coaching and people leadership strengths, with the ability to lift team capability through support and example.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Prior experience in consulting-led or professional services environments is required.
Benefits and additional information
- Competitive compensation designed for a senior leadership position.
- Flexible work setup with both remote and hybrid options available.
- Access to professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
- Inclusive, collaborative, and people-first consulting culture.
- Opportunity to work on major transformation programs with enterprise clients.
- Strong emphasis on career progression and leadership growth.
- Exposure to advanced digital, AI, and transformation initiatives.
- Supportive, flat-structured environment that encourages ownership and impact.
- Social activities, wellbeing initiatives, and a strong team culture.

This role is promoted on behalf of a partner organisation, which manages applications and follow-up steps directly. The initial screening process uses AI-supported matching to review applications against the role’s core requirements in a quick, consistent, and fair way. Shortlisted profiles are then shared with the hiring company, whose internal team makes the final decisions on interviews and assessments.
By submitting an application, candidates acknowledge that personal data may be processed for recruitment evaluation and shared with the hiring employer where relevant, in line with applicable data protection laws. AI tools may also assist with parts of the recruitment workflow, such as resume review or response analysis, but final hiring decisions remain human-led.
