About the Role
Qualicare Burlington is seeking compassionate and engaging Companion/Caregivers to join our team in Burlington, Ontario. If you are passionate about making a difference in healthcare through your dedicated services, this is an excellent opportunity for you. Gain valuable experience while working with Qualicare and contributing to the well-being of our clients in their private homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands.
- Assist with organizing mail and engaging in activities like reading.
- Help clients with meal planning and preparation.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Accompany clients on walks and other recreational activities.
- Remind clients to take their medications and meals on schedule.
- Facilitate social and recreational outings for clients.
Requirements
- Must possess a recent Vulnerable Sector Check.
- A valid First Aid/CPR Certificate is advantageous.
- Ability to provide companionship and social/emotional support.
- Willingness to accompany clients on various outings and errands.
- Capability to assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Must understand that companion services do not include personal or hands-on care.
