Overview
Microsoft’s purpose is to help every person and organization on the planet achieve more. As part of the Global Communications team, this role sits within a group of specialists who craft stories that highlight Microsoft’s products, purpose, and global impact.
We are hiring an experienced communications professional to serve as Communications Lead for Microsoft in Singapore. This position provides the chance to rethink communications in the AI era and help shape narratives at the crossroads of business, society, and human impact during a period of rapid technological change.
The role is centered on building thought leadership that positions Microsoft as a trusted and forward-looking partner for digital transformation across businesses and public sector organizations, with AI as a major focus. You will work with local, regional, and global stakeholders to develop and deliver an audience-first communications approach that aligns global storytelling priorities with local business needs. The work will emphasize earned media with top-tier Singapore journalists, compelling storytelling on owned channels, and partnerships with non-traditional influencers and content creators to strengthen brand affinity. You will also support the country General Manager with executive and employee communications.
In addition, you will drive customer storytelling in collaboration with business stakeholders, account teams, and Microsoft Source Asia. The aim is to identify and create customer and partner innovation stories across priority industries that establish Microsoft as a thought leader in AI in Singapore.
The ideal applicant brings a strong track record in corporate communications and media relations, along with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Success in this role also requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, experience working with stakeholders, and a proactive approach grounded in a learn-it-all, growth-oriented mindset. A solid understanding of the digital landscape is important, as is the ability to spot and act on opportunities that deepen engagement with key audiences and serve as an external communications advisor to country leadership. We are looking for someone who is comfortable experimenting with new content and platform formats and willing to take smart risks.
If you are an accomplished communications professional seeking a role with meaningful influence, growth opportunities, and real-world impact, this could be a strong fit.
