Role overview
This part-time Commercial Manager position is based in Dubai and follows a hybrid work setup, so the person in the role will split time between the workplace and working from home. The main goal is to improve commercial results for The Bay Indian Restaurant by shaping pricing, sales, and promotional plans that support growth.
Key responsibilities
The role involves studying sales performance, keeping an eye on costs and profit margins, and creating commercial reports that help guide business decisions. It also includes handling important contracts, liaising with suppliers, and making sure commercial arrangements remain beneficial and compliant.
In addition, the Commercial Manager will contribute to business planning, help forecast demand, and collaborate with operations, marketing, and finance teams to meet revenue and profitability objectives. The role also requires supporting team alignment so that commercial priorities are delivered while protecting the restaurant’s quality and service standards.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should bring strong commercial and contract management capability, along with the ability to negotiate terms and support profitable operations. Solid analytical thinking and business planning experience are important for reviewing performance, building forecasts, and recommending strategy based on data.
Team coordination skills are needed to work across functions and keep people focused on shared commercial goals. Experience in food and beverage, hospitality, or retail is strongly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hybrid arrangement, managing their time independently, and communicating clearly in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a similar discipline is expected, although equivalent relevant experience may also be considered. Comfort with spreadsheets and business reporting tools is required for tracking KPIs and preparing concise commercial presentations.
