Role Overview

Sagicor Employee Benefits Administrators Limited is looking for a Client Relationship Officer for its Pension Services team in Kingston, Jamaica. This position focuses on supporting the Sagicor Lifestyle Approved Retirement Scheme (ARS), building strong client relationships, and ensuring members receive attentive, personalized service.

What the Role Involves

  • Deliver prompt, courteous, and effective support to current and prospective ARS clients.
  • Build a solid working knowledge of the ARS and pensions generally so client needs can be handled well.
  • Address complaints and concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Record client needs that are not yet being met and help develop ways to address them.
  • Respond to questions from Advisors and Brokers about the Retirement Scheme.
  • Continue following up with prospects until they are successfully enrolled.
  • Assist existing clients with general scheme-related queries.
  • Work with the Investment Manager on client requests for investment advice and help ensure timely completion.
  • Keep client KYC information and contact records current.
  • Maintain a high-touch service approach by sharing Pooled Pension Investment Performance Reports, ARS Highlights, and FAQs with members.
  • Identify members who have reached or passed their late retirement date and guide them toward retirement.
  • Reach out to terminated members after receiving Notification of Exit, update KYC status, and explain available options.
  • Request policy numbers for individual clients onboarded in EBA or terminated from their companies so contributions can continue over the counter.
  • Make courtesy calls to new ARS members after welcome packs are sent.
  • Deliver beneficiary change confirmation letters and certificates obtained from My Sagicor to clients.
  • Log all ARS applications and complete the checklist of supporting documents received.
  • Follow up with clients, Advisors, or Relationship Managers when documents are still outstanding, and record received documents in the log.
  • Prepare pension proposals and projections for clients.
  • Carry out any other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management Studies, or a closely related qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least 2 years of experience in client service.
  • Experience in the pension industry for 2 years is considered an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational ability and effective time management.
  • Comfort using common computer software, including spreadsheets and word processing tools.
  • Good understanding of retirement schemes, the relevant sections of the Income Tax Act, the Pensions Act, and related regulations.
