Civil Supervisor

What You Will Do

• Oversee day-to-day site activity, starting with toolbox talks and continuing through direct crew supervision on the ground.
• Keep the team focused on safety, productivity, and programme milestones.
• Coach and develop team members by sharing practical knowledge and on-the-job guidance.
• Interpret plans, respond quickly to site issues, and work to project targets.
• Coordinate with clients, contract managers, and other site personnel throughout the project.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure equipment and site gear remain in good working order.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in civil construction within New Zealand.
• Practical experience across earthworks, drainage, precast work, or cast-in-place concrete.
• A strong, practical approach to health and safety on site.
• Good attention to quality standards and comfort handling associated documentation.
• Confidence in reading plans, scopes of work, and schedules.
• Current full Class 1 driver licence.
• A genuine interest in mentoring junior site staff and helping them progress.
• Willingness to travel and remain away from home when project needs require it.

What Is On Offer

The salary for this position is NZD 90,000 to NZD 120,000 per year. You will join a close-knit team working on varied projects, with ongoing training, development support, and opportunities to advance your career.
