Civil Inspector

Role overview

We are looking for a meticulous Civil Inspector to support civil works in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will observe and verify construction activity to make sure work is carried out in line with project requirements, safety expectations, and applicable regulations. You will help protect the quality and reliability of civil engineering deliverables.

The position suits someone with a solid civil engineering foundation, practical knowledge of construction workflows, and the confidence to coordinate with site teams to spot issues early and help close them out.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in civil inspection or a comparable position is expected.
• Strong understanding of construction practices, relevant codes, and quality benchmarks.
• Ability to review and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Sharp attention to detail and strong field observation skills.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports.
• Comfortable using standard inspection equipment and software tools.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
• Experience with site monitoring and enforcement, coordination with stakeholders, drawing and GIS verification, and permit closure and verification.

Key duties

• Track civil construction work on site and confirm compliance with project requirements.
• Check that safety standards, specifications, and regulatory obligations are being followed.
• Review drawings, specifications, and related documents against field conditions.
• Identify defects, deviations, or quality concerns and support corrective action.
• Coordinate with site personnel and other stakeholders to resolve inspection issues.
• Carry out verification tasks related to drawings, GIS, and permit closure.
• Use inspection tools and software to document findings and support reporting.
