About the role
iQera is hiring a Business Intelligence Manager to strengthen its data and BI capabilities in Port Louis, Mauritius. The position sits within a team focused on data governance, platform evolution, self-service analytics, business support, and BI delivery oversight.
Data governance and reliability
You will act as the guardian of data accuracy, consistency, and overall quality within the Data Lake. This includes setting up quality indicators, monitoring them over time, and ensuring that documentation, traceability, and sound data-management practices are consistently applied.
Data Lake evolution and BI architecture
You will lead technical and functional improvements to the Data Lake, oversee development work on Azure and Databricks, and make sure the processing environment remains performant, scalable, and secure.
Self-service BI deployment
You will define and roll out the Self-BI approach, organize certified datasets and data models such as star and snowflake schemas, and support business teams in becoming more autonomous while keeping governance under control.
Business support
You will help users make effective use of data through Power BI and advise business stakeholders as they shape their analytical requirements.
Team leadership and delivery management
You will supervise and motivate the BI team, set priorities for dashboard development, balance requests based on business value, and track BI projects from planning through quality assurance and delivery.
Technical environment
The role works with Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Python, SQL, Spark, and Power BI.
Profile and language requirements
A degree in IT, data, or an equivalent field is expected, along with solid experience in Business Intelligence or Data Engineering and proven team management experience. Strong command of Python, SQL, and Power BI is required, as well as practical knowledge of Azure and Databricks. You should also have a strong focus on data quality and governance, the ability to prioritize work, and the confidence to interact with a variety of business stakeholders. French fluency and professional-level English are required.
