Role Overview

The Automation Lead will head the QA automation function within a SaaS product environment, combining technical ownership with team leadership. The position requires deep hands-on expertise in automation engineering, testing across multiple layers, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve release quality and CI/CD effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and support the QA automation team while ensuring strong execution in a SaaS product setup.
• Build, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.
• Cover automation for UI/client-side flows, APIs, and database validations.
• Partner with development, architecture, DevOps, and product teams to align testing efforts.
• Strengthen quality ownership throughout the CI/CD pipeline.
• Contribute to manual testing, regression cycles, and test strategy/planning activities.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Practical, hands-on expertise in Java and Selenium.
• Experience validating APIs and testing databases.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and working practices.
• Prior involvement in manual testing activities.
• Exposure to network security software products.
• Hands-on use of AI-based tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, prompt engineering approaches, AI agents, and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Working knowledge of AWS.
• Strong communication and team leadership abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to MCPs, RAG pipelines, semantic search, and vector databases.
• Familiarity with Linux or UNIX environments.
