Role overview
1826 Studio is a creative production team that supports live entertainment, touring, and large-scale creative work. The studio provides the operational, financial, and administrative structure that lets creative teams stay focused while projects stay organized, tracked, and delivered successfully.
The Associate Manager will act as a core operations partner to the Head of Studio, helping manage day-to-day studio activity, client work, and project administration. This position bridges project coordination, financial monitoring, deal support, and operational assistance, ensuring smooth communication among creative teams, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
This is a fast-moving, collaborative role suited to someone who enjoys creating order, solving problems, and keeping many moving parts aligned.
Location and work setup
Burbank, CA, with full-time in-person work in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area.
Compensation and benefits
Salary is $80,000 to $110,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a daily operations contact for assigned projects and studio initiatives.
- Coordinate schedules, deadlines, deliverables, and communication with internal teams, clients, vendors, and outside partners.
- Monitor project progress, scope adjustments, milestones, and open action items to keep work moving smoothly.
- Keep detailed records of project activity, labor, expenses, travel, vendor charges, and deliverables.
- Compile and organize information needed for quoting, billing, commission calculations, reporting, and financial reconciliation.
- Assist with deal sheets, agreements, project files, and related documentation.
- Work with finance teams to support invoicing and billing workflows.
- Help track accounts receivable, follow up on payments, and support collection efforts when needed.
- Track commissions, revenue participation, and project-related financial commitments.
- Support budget tracking, financial reporting, and project profitability analysis.
- Assist with closeout work, including final expense reconciliation and P&L reporting.
- Watch for risks, delays, or missing items and escalate issues proactively.
- Maintain well-structured project folders, databases, financial records, and operational documents.
- Help improve studio workflows, systems, and operational processes over time.
- Provide broader administrative and operational support to the Head of Studio as needed.

- Solid understanding of invoicing, budgeting, financial tracking, and project administration.
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
