Role overview
We are looking for an Associate Creative Director, Art who brings strong conceptual thinking, polished craft, and the ability to elevate team output. This position blends hands-on creative execution with leadership, giving you the chance to shape visual direction while also mentoring others and influencing where the brand evolves next.
You will work closely with copy, strategy, and account teams to translate complex healthcare narratives into clear, engaging brand experiences. A big part of the job is helping teams develop sharper ideas, strengthen concepts, and ensure the final creative work matches the quality of the thinking behind it.
Responsibilities
- Work with copy and strategy partners to drive early concept development and help shape campaign ideas from the ground up.
- Set and guide the visual direction for brand and campaign work across digital, social, video, print, and new media formats.
- Coach and support art directors and designers, helping them strengthen both their thinking and execution.
- Contribute directly to the work when needed by sketching, designing, or pushing ideas further.
- Partner with account and project management teams to keep projects moving smoothly, aligned to brief, and within budget.
- Present creative concepts to clients and clearly explain the strategy and thinking behind the work.
- Ensure all delivered work is visually strong, on-brand, and aligned with strategic goals.
- Help the team stay energized and effective in a fast-moving agency environment.
- Develop a deeper working knowledge of the science, therapeutic areas, and disease states relevant to the assignments.
- Contribute to the creative culture and help maintain a high standard across the agency.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of advertising experience.
- Healthcare or pharmaceutical agency experience is preferred.
- Confidence in leading ideas, guiding teams, and communicating with clients.
- Strong visual judgment and a sharp eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative approach, and strong problem-solving ability.
- Interest in science, healthcare, and the people the work is intended to serve.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $160,000 to $180,000 per year.
