Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site Associate position in Chicago, IL. The role supports investment activity from sourcing through execution by carrying out detailed market research, building financial models, and assisting with due diligence. It also includes portfolio support, working on value-creation initiatives within existing investments, and partnering with the leadership teams of portfolio companies to advance strategic goals. In addition, the Associate will develop presentations and reports for both internal and external audiences and contribute ideas to strengthen investment decision-making and overall strategy.
Key Qualifications
Applicants should bring strong capability in financial modeling, valuation, and analysis to assess opportunities and build forecasts. The role also calls for solid research skills, market assessment ability, and a strong grasp of due diligence. Clear verbal and written communication is important, especially for preparing materials for senior stakeholders. Candidates should be comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment and demonstrate thoughtful judgment and strategic thinking. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is expected, and experience with financial databases is beneficial. Prior exposure to private equity, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a similar field is required, while an MBA or CFA would be an added advantage. The ideal candidate is proactive, focused on results, and works well in a collaborative team setting.
