Job Summary
The Assistant Personnel Manager will be accountable for directing personnel operations across the group, with a strong focus on legal compliance, employee administration, and service delivery. This position covers the entire employee journey, visa and permit handling, personnel records, and team coordination. It also requires close collaboration with HR, Finance, PRO, and business leadership to keep personnel processes across multiple entities smooth, accurate, and compliant with UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end employee processes, including joining formalities, contract administration, internal transfers, promotions, renewals, and exit procedures.
- Manage employment visa and labour permit activities, along with Emirates ID, medical, renewal, cancellation, and other related government requirements.
- Maintain adherence to UAE Labour Law, MOHRE, GDRFA/ICP rules, and internal company policies.
- Liaise with PROs and relevant government departments to ensure personnel transactions are completed within required timelines.
- Keep employee files, HR documents, and personnel databases current, complete, and well-organized.
- Assist payroll operations by ensuring personnel updates are processed on time and WPS requirements are met.
- Track visa, labour card, and other document expiries to maintain full compliance.
- Compile personnel reports, compliance reviews, and audit dashboards for management use.
- Review existing processes and introduce improvements that raise efficiency and service standards.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
- At least 4 years of personnel experience in the UAE, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong working knowledge of UAE Labour Law, MOHRE procedures, GDRFA/ICP processes, visas, and immigration-related matters.
- Prior exposure to personnel operations across multiple companies is an added advantage.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
- Excellent command of English, with Arabic language proficiency mandatory.
