Role overview
This position is a broad HR generalist opportunity within the People & Culture team at Home Centre, part of Landmark Group in Dubai. The role combines strong operational ownership with people-focused work across four main areas: HR operations and compliance, manpower planning and corporate recruitment, HR project coordination, and employee engagement and relations. It suits someone who can move comfortably between data, processes, and employee interactions while maintaining a high standard of execution. The role reports to the Senior Manager – Human Resources and is based at the corporate office, with travel to other locations as needed.
Employee engagement and employee relations
- Plan and deliver engagement activities for the concept population, including cultural events, recognition moments, and team-building initiatives, while handling logistics, vendor coordination where needed, and measuring participation and feedback.
- Facilitate HR connect sessions, focus groups, and pulse-check conversations across concept teams, then capture the insights, support action planning, and share outcomes with employees and leaders.
- Manage employee events from end to end, including logistics, content coordination, employee communication, and follow-up after the event.
- Run the recognition programme across all GCC countries, covering nominations, felicitation, reporting, and coordination with business and HR stakeholders.
- Support performance check-ins and review conversations alongside business managers.
- Carry out structured exit interviews to understand why employees are leaving and identify retention risks.
Reporting and analytics
- Maintain the live headcount plan for the concept function, including approved positions, vacancies, pipeline movement, and attrition forecasts so the plan reflects current and future business needs.
- Prepare quarterly manpower summaries covering headcount changes, open positions, time-to-fill, and offer-to-join ratios.
- Review attrition data every quarter to identify trends by function, grade, and level.
- Support benchmarking of external practices and help shape and implement strong people processes.
HR project management
- Coordinate and drive HR projects from planning and scoping through delivery and closure, while managing timelines, action tracking, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Maintain the HR activity calendar for the concept population.
- Draft and publish HR communication updates, including policy changes, process changes, and reminders in a timely and professional manner.
HR operations
- Manage core HR transactions for the concept population, including contracts, letters, HRMS updates, and probation tracking, while ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
- Keep HR systems data updated and audited regularly.
- Prepare standard and ad hoc HR reports covering headcount, tenure, movement, and attrition, and highlight anomalies to the HR Manager.
- Own the weekly and monthly HR dashboard for the concept population.
Skills and competencies
The role requires strong HR operations knowledge, a structured approach to project delivery, and confidence in working with employee engagement, relations, and data-driven reporting. The ideal candidate should communicate clearly, collaborate well across functions, and work effectively in a multicultural GCC environment.
Education and experience
A master’s degree or MBA with an HR specialization from a reputed university is required. The role calls for 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in a similar position, ideally within retail and in a fast-moving business environment. Candidates should have a strong grasp of HR best practices and business operations, be capable of influencing stakeholders at different levels, and feel comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy. The position also calls for strong project management, time management, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills, along with a keen eye for detail.
