Role overview

The Clinical Support Services Division is looking for an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager and divisional leadership team. The post holder will help ensure services run efficiently and effectively, with responsibility for delivering operational and access targets, supporting financial management, improving patient service quality, and helping redesign services in line with best-practice standards and available resources.

This is a development opportunity for someone who wants to expand their expertise and strengthen their professional profile.

Key purpose of the post

You will provide leadership, strategic direction, and professional management, together with operational responsibility, across Clinical Support Services directorates. The role involves close working with the Executive team, Divisional Directors, Locality Directors, and other senior colleagues.

You will also help shape and implement the wider Clinical Support Services agenda, and act as deputy for the General Manager when required.
