Stellenbeschreibung
Role overview
As the Assistant Director for OSIT Logistics Operations, you will take charge of the Operations Support IT logistics function and shape how logistics planning is developed and put into practice for OSIT activities. The role covers inventory oversight, deployment coordination across MINDEF and SAF units, and the management of IT Concierge support infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Design and roll out end-to-end logistics plans for OSIT operations, improving workflows through process redesign, stakeholder coordination, demand forecasting, and strong inventory control and accountability.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of client deployments from start to finish, including support after deployment and continuous improvement of the deployment approach based on feedback.
- Handle the full asset lifecycle for IT Concierge infrastructure and OSIT equipment, covering installation, upkeep, retirement, and adherence to security as well as documentation requirements.
- Put in place streamlined procurement processes and settle discrepancies so supplier payments can be completed on time.
- Offer strategic direction, reinforce accountability, and drive cross-functional improvement efforts that enhance operational performance and service quality.
Challenges in the role
- You will need to manage large-volume, deadline-driven logistics activity across several OSIT refresh initiatives at once, while balancing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities within limited resources.
- The job also requires you to strike the right balance between governance and operational speed, making sure essential standards are met without weakening compliance or accountability.
Requirements
- A qualification in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations and Logistics, or a similar field is preferred.
- You should have at least 6 years of experience in logistics-related work.
- Experience handling complex projects with multiple stakeholders, conflicting priorities, and tight timelines is important.
- You must have strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with careful attention to detail and a high standard of work.
- Strong leadership and sound judgment are required for this role.
- Good communication and people skills are needed to build trust and influence stakeholders across different levels.
- You should be comfortable negotiating, engaging stakeholders, and resolving disagreements.
- The role calls for someone who uses resources responsibly and effectively.
