Role overview
This position sits in the quality control function at the Tuas site in Singapore. The analyst will carry out scheduled testing and analytical work on in-process and finished product samples, making sure all activities follow SOPs, cGMP requirements, and strict documentation standards.
The role also supports day-to-day laboratory operations, sample handling, method execution, and troubleshooting, while contributing to continuous improvement efforts across the lab.
What you will do
- Plan and complete testing and analysis on time so operational needs are met.
- Test bulk, in-process, and stability samples in line with approved procedures and methods.
- Record and review results in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Investigate issues with analytical methods and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
- Take part in method transfer and validation activities.
- Support equipment qualification and help with the technical selection of QC instruments, standards, and reagents.
- Carry out assay trend reviews, and update documents when revisions are required.
- Handle general laboratory support tasks such as housekeeping, maintenance of equipment, inventory control, ordering supplies, and glassware management.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
What we are looking for
- A degree or diploma in Chemistry, Science, or another relevant field, or an equivalent qualification.
- Prior work experience, preferably in a laboratory setting within biotech or a medically related environment.
- Strong understanding of HPLC and Empower software.
- Ability to support HPLC equipment maintenance and qualification work.
- Knowledge of spectroscopy and other assigned analytical techniques, including chromatography methods, protein concentration testing such as A280 or SoloVPE, and other physicochemical methods.
