Role overview
This position is for Amazon’s customer service team in Chandigarh. You will be the first human touchpoint for customers, helping them with online shopping queries, account access issues, identity checks, security concerns, purchase-order support, and related service needs.
The role is permanent, full-time, and conducted entirely in an office setting. English is the working language for the position.
Key responsibilities
- Handle customer queries by phone, chat, and email.
- Use multiple tools to locate, review, and apply solutions in real time.
- Support identity verification and account-security related cases.
- Spot possible fraud or security risks and act to protect the customer experience.
- Solve customer issues independently without relying on scripts.
- Resolve problems linked to accounts, purchases, and shopping activity with high service quality.
Work expectations
- Communicate clearly in both spoken and written English.
- Work confidently on computers and move across several systems as needed.
- Be available for shifts across Monday to Sunday.
- Work rotating schedules, mainly late-night and overnight shifts, with early morning, afternoon, weekend, and overtime coverage when required.
- Arrive on time and remain present for the full shift.
- Stay fully engaged and committed to the customer service role while working at Amazon.

Training and support
No prior customer service experience is required. You will receive onboarding training and a complete equipment package when you join. The role also includes self-paced and instructor-led learning, along with ongoing development opportunities and support programs.
