Role Overview
One World Global Services LLC is seeking experienced interpreters for a remote role. The position is available across multiple language pairs, including COTOCOLI, DINKA, EDO, FULANI, FOOCHOW, GUARANI, HAKKA, KIKUYU, MARSHALLESE, OROMO, CHINESE, PORTUGUESE, KINYARWANDA, FULFULDE, TELUGU, KHMER, AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL), BURMESE, ARABIC, JAPANESE, and other languages as needed.
Responsibilities
- Handle calls in a professional manner while following the interpreter code of conduct.
- Use the appropriate terminology for the industry being supported, especially healthcare and medical conversations.
- Participate in internal professional training as required.
- Share updates and communicate progress with the team leader.
Requirements
- Strong command of English at approximately 90% proficiency.
- Fluent, bilingual, native, or equivalent ability in English and the target language.
- At least 1 year of interpreting experience is preferred.
- Stable wired internet access.
- USB wired headset.
- Windows 10 or macOS system.
- Good emotional intelligence and comfort working with diverse cultures.
- Excellent speaking, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
