About The Role
The Maritime Hotel in Bantry is seeking dedicated Accommodation Porters to join its busy Accommodation Team. This position is ideal for students, offering full-time employment during the summer months and transitioning to part-time hours from September onwards, allowing for maximized earnings before returning to academic pursuits.
Responsibilities
- Assist Accommodation Assistants with the management of linens, supplies, and equipment.
- Transport clean linens to guest floors and collect used linens.
- Support with room turnovers and maintain the cleanliness of public areas.
- Ensure storage areas are kept tidy, organized, and adequately stocked.
- Address guest requests promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate effectively with the Accommodation Supervisor and the broader hotel team.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a positive outlook and a strong commitment to work.
- Possess the physical capability to handle demanding tasks and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and a keen eye for detail.
- Communicate effectively and work well within a team setting.
- No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided.
