About BNZ

At Bank of New Zealand (BNZ), the focus goes beyond traditional banking. The organisation works in an agile, energising environment where people collaborate to build innovative solutions guided by the idea: “If you can imagine a better future, let’s find a way.” BNZ also offers support for wellbeing, flexible working, generous leave, and opportunities to grow, learn, and build a career. The work is varied, so no two days are alike.

About the Team

You will be part of the Properties team within BNZ’s Operational Excellence function. This group delivers property-related initiatives across the bank, including workplace projects and the Points of Presence (PoP) programme. The role provides coordination, communication, and analytical support to the Head of Workplace Strategy & Experience and the Head of Programme Delivery so that workplace projects and PoP programmes can be delivered effectively.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Auckland. It follows a hybrid working model, with three days spent in the office and two days available for flexible work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing communication and stakeholder engagement for workplace and Points of Presence (PoP) initiatives.
  • Preparing polished presentations, reports, and engagement content for internal stakeholders.
  • Reviewing workplace data and insights to help guide planning and decision-making.
  • Monitoring project actions, milestones, and interdependencies across several workstreams.
  • Delivering coordination and administrative assistance to help programmes run smoothly.

Team Environment

The team is collaborative, delivery-driven, and closely connected with stakeholders across the bank. Clear communication, strong organisation, and mutual support are valued, with a fast-moving environment and a strong emphasis on meeting deadlines and producing quality outcomes.

Current and Upcoming Work

You will support BNZ’s Workplace Strategy and the nationwide Points of Presence (PoP) programme. The work includes workplace planning activities, restacks, business cases for new locations, and go-live support for branches and workplaces. You will contribute across several projects at different stages, helping keep delivery coordinated, consistent, and well-communicated.

Why This Role Stands Out

This opportunity offers exposure to high-profile workplace and property initiatives across the bank. You will work with senior leaders and help shape projects that influence how colleagues experience their workplaces and how customers experience BNZ through branches and Partners Centres. Your work will have a visible, practical impact across both employee and customer environments.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Advanced capability with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Background in coordination, communications, project support, or analysis.
  • Ability to create clear analysis and professional presentation materials.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Comfort using digital tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency and output quality.
  • Capability to handle several priorities at once in a busy environment.

Personal Attributes

  • Well organised and highly attentive to detail.
  • Self-starting with a strong sense of responsibility for deliverables.
  • Clear and confident in communication.
  • Cooperative and team-oriented.
  • Professional, dependable, and consistent.

Additional Information

Applications close on Thursday, 9 July 2026. BNZ reviews applications as they are received and may close the role earlier than the advertised date. The bank encourages interested candidates to express their interest promptly.

Culture

BNZ describes itself as a place for bold thinking and brave steps, with a culture aimed at building a workplace people enjoy and a bank customers want to use. The organisation values collective effort and is guided by the belief that success is achieved together, not alone.
