Role summary
Vistas Global is looking for a seasoned Core Banking Transformation specialist with deep hands-on knowledge of Temenos Transact (T24) to contribute to major modernization initiatives across retail and corporate banking. This role functions as a client-side subject matter expert and business analyst, with responsibility for gathering requirements, redesigning processes, supporting operational readiness, and assisting with data migration. The position also calls for practical exposure to Islamic banking solutions, including AA (Arrangement Architecture) and TPH (Temenos Payment Hub).
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project partners to help deliver transformation programs smoothly and effectively.
Core banking transformation
- Support full lifecycle transformation initiatives built around Temenos T24.
- Contribute to implementations, migrations, upgrades, and rollout activities for core banking systems.
- Help define the target operating model for both retail and corporate banking functions.
- Assess existing operational processes and identify areas for improvement and change.
- Assist with business process redesign and operational efficiency initiatives.
Retail and corporate banking domain coverage
Act as the banking operations SME across back-office functions, including the following areas:
- Retail banking: customer accounts (CASA), fixed deposits, payments and transfers, customer onboarding, retail financing, standing instructions, and remittances.
- Corporate banking: corporate accounts, corporate financing, treasury operations, trade finance, corporate payments, and settlement operations.
Business analysis and requirements management
- Collect, assess, and formalize business requirements.
- Produce business requirement documents and functional specification documents.
- Define business rules, process flows, and operational procedures.
- Control scope and maintain end-to-end traceability of requirements.
- Run workshops with business users and other stakeholders.
Data migration and reconciliation
- Assist with migration from legacy platforms to Temenos Transact T24.
- Perform data mapping, cleansing, and validation activities.
- Support balance reconciliation and ensure migration accuracy.
- Help maintain data integrity and quality throughout migration.
Testing and UAT leadership
- Lead SIT and UAT planning and execution.
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and regression test plans.
- Handle defect review, prioritization, and resolution coordination.
- Confirm that delivered functionality aligns with business needs and operating processes.
Islamic banking support
Support transformation activities for Islamic banking capabilities, including Islamic accounts, Islamic deposits, Murabaha, Ijara, Tawarruq, Wakalah, and profit distribution. The role also involves work on AA (Arrangement Architecture) and TPH (Temenos Payment Hub).
Vendor and stakeholder coordination
- Work with core banking vendors, business teams, IT teams, and operations teams.
- Manage change requests and issue resolution across stakeholders.
- Ensure vendor outputs match business expectations and project needs.
Change management and training
- Create SOPs, user manuals, and training content.
- Deliver user training sessions where needed.
- Support readiness for go-live and help stabilize the solution after deployment.
Experience and qualification requirements
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in banking, finance, business administration, information technology, computer science, or a related field. They should bring at least 11 years of experience in Temenos T24 core banking transformation, along with client-facing business analyst or SME experience, strong Middle East banking exposure, and solid retail and corporate banking operations knowledge. At least 5 years of Islamic banking implementation experience is required, together with practical experience in AA and TPH.
