Role overview
This 12-month contract sits within a major enterprise technology team based in Docklands, Melbourne. The arrangement is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days working from home. The position offers an inclusive daily rate of $600 to $700, including superannuation.
The organisation is seeking a highly organised, proactive coordinator who can bring structure to complex technical environments and help support large transformation programs. This opportunity is well suited to someone with a background in environment coordination, release support, application support, or IT operations who enjoys solving problems and working across several teams.
What the role involves
In this position, you will oversee the daily coordination of non-production environments so that projects can access the environments they need to deliver effectively. You will keep environment schedules, calendars, and documentation up to date, while working with project, infrastructure, application support, and change management teams to reduce clashes and maintain delivery momentum.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the enterprise environment calendar across development, test, UAT, and pre-production spaces.
- Coordinate bookings and confirm environment availability across multiple projects.
- Prepare and maintain environment records, templates, runbooks, and related documentation.
- Track application environments and integration touchpoints across different systems.
- Support the planning and coordination of releases, deployments, and testing activity.
- Assist with CAB processes and scheduled environment change windows.
- Organise environment refreshes and test data-related activities.
- Spot environment conflicts early and help resolve them before they affect delivery.
- Keep technical and project stakeholders informed about schedules, risks, and potential impacts.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in environment coordination, release management, or a similar technical coordination role. You should be comfortable working across development, test, and UAT environments, and confident handling schedules, trackers, and process documentation.
This role also calls for familiarity with release management, deployment activity, or change processes, along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively. A practical, hands-on approach and a drive to improve processes will help you succeed.
Tools and working knowledge
Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, or comparable platforms is preferred.
